Five young people are in custody after police in Burbank busted up a residential burglary of an occupied residence that was in progress Tuesday night, authorities announced.

The incident unfolded just before midnight on March 12 in the 3600 block of Viewcrest Drive, a news release from the Burbank Police Department stated.

Two burglary suspects waiting in a vehicle near the front of the residence were immediately located by responding officers and taken into custody.

The three other suspects fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood and hillside, police said.

With assistance from the Pasadena Police Department helicopter and the Glendale Police Department, a perimeter was established while officers searched for the suspects.

“During the search, all three suspects that fled were located, but refused to comply with officers’ commands,” the release noted. “The suspects were ultimately bitten by Burbank Police K-9’s before being taken into custody.”

The five suspects were identified as:

  • 23-year-old Kameron Wilson of Moreno Valley

  • 21-year-old Henry Thomas of Los Angeles

  • 20-year-old Trista Manuel of Los Angeles

  • 19-year-old Robert Holt of Los Angeles

  • 19-year-old Anthony Regalado of Los Angeles

Authorities said that paramedics with the Burbank Fire Department treated the three people bitten by the K-9s at the scene before they were taken to a local hospital prior to all the suspects being booked for residential burglary.

Formal charges are pending review for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, authorities added.

It is unclear how police initially learned about the burglary in process or if anyone inside the residence at the time of the burglary was injured or came into contact with the suspects.
