On May 28, the Quincy Police Department received the the call from the boy named Robert.

"My daddy went past the red light," Robert said to the dispatcher on the call. "It was in the brand new car, my mommy's car, and we had to go to the car wash, and then he went past the red light."

After determining that there was no real emergency, the dispatcher asks the boy to hand the phone over to his father.

"Quincy Police," the dispatcher says as the father picks up the phone.

"I'm just going to apologize, that's my 5-year-old son," the father says back.

But when the dispatcher tells the father that his kid ratted him out for running a red light, the father chuckles and says, "oh no."

The dad apologizes once again, and the two cordially end the conversation. The dispatcher just wanted to make sure everything was OK.
