UPDATE: I-5 offramp reopened at Highway 44 after grass and brush fire

The offramp from southbound Interstate 5 to westbound Highway 44 was reopened Sunday afternoon after firefighters fought a grass and brush fire in the area.

The offramp was closed shortly before 5 p.m. while firefighters worked on a "small" blaze, according to emergency radio traffic.

Fire crews were called to the blaze in the area of the the Dana-to-downtown trail shortly before 5 p.m. The offramp was reopened at about 5:30 p.m. There was no estimated acreage on the fire.
