5 teens injured after stabbing at Las Vegas valley apartment complex

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The 8 News Now Investigators have learned that five people were injured following a stabbing at an apartment complex in the west Las Vegas valley, according to sources.

Las Vegas Metro police later confirmed to 8 News Now that the stabbing took place Thursday shortly before 6:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 6200 block of West Tropicana Avenue near Jones Boulevard.

Several people were involved in a fight that turned physical. Five teens were injured, of those two had minor injuries, and two other teens had critical injuries. No information was released on the fifth person injured. Those teens injured ranged in age from 15 to 17 years old, according to police.

None of the injuries were life-threatening and it is not known how many people were involved in the stabbing, according to police.

The investigation remained ongoing as of Thursday evening. Police have not released any information on arrests in the case.
