5 extremely weird scenes that were cut from the new Beauty and the Beast

Great news, Disney fanatics: the long-anticipated live action Beauty and the Beast remake is just a few short days away. The romantic fantasy musical, which perfectly explores the concept of selfishness, greed and falling in love with an anthropomorphic buffalo, is set to hit theaters March 17.

But what is a remake without a few changes to keep it fresh and exciting? Director Bill Condon and the writers apparently had a lot of new ideas ready to roll out for this new film, but unfortunately most of them did not make it to the final cut of the film.

Well fear not. I got an exclusive look at the first draft script and here are five very real and not made up changes to Beauty and the Beast that were ultimately scrapped.

1. A whole scene where the objects discuss how messed up their situation is.

2. Beast doesn't have a library.

3. A song from a new character named Todd the Shower Rod.

4. Beast disputes a credit card charge over the phone.

5. Mrs. Potts' son Chip dies.
