5 bodies found after northern Idaho house fire

OROFINO, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in northern Idaho say five bodies have been found inside a house that caught fire Saturday morning.

The Clearwater County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported at 1:38 a.m. in Orofino.

Authorities say the names and ages of those killed have not been determined.

The Idaho State Fire Marshal, Orofino Police Department and Idaho State Police are investigating.

Orofino is a town of just more than 3,000 people next to the Clearwater River in a mountainous part of the state known for its rugged beauty. The house where the fire took place is just a few blocks from the river.
