You may want to kneel before viewing this luxe property. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is selling his gorgeous mansion in San Jose, CA. The price for the home in the Silver Creek neighborhood is $2.9 million.

The pro baller garnered loads of attention for his refusal to stand during the national anthem at the start of games. The 29-year-old said he was taking a knee to protest the flag that “oppresses black people.” His actions sparked both support and controversy.

Say what you will about Kaepernick’s flag flap, but we can all agree that his home is lovely. The gated four-bedroom, 5.5-bath estate features 4,500 square feet of living space on a 20,000-square-foot secluded lot with a long private driveway.

The expansive space includes a large office, a separate screening room, and a wall aquarium. Maybe for the price, the generous owner will throw in the billiard table located on the main floor. It’s about a half-hour drive (with no traffic!) to Levi’s Stadium and the 49ers’ practice facilities.

The building benefited from a recent $300,000 remodel, according to the listing. The outdoors boasts a pool and spa, as well as expansive valley views. The home’s sitting in fourth place in terms of price in the 95138 ZIP code, a list currently topped by a $3.19 million mansion a mile away.

With this move, Kaepernick could be signaling his future intentions with the team. His contract allows the option for free agency in March.
