4-year-old dead after being hit by intoxicated driver in Leflore County, teen arrested

LEFLORE COUNTY, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — A 4-year-old pedestrian is dead after being hit by an intoxicated driver in LeFlore County on Sunday afternoon, according to a collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Miguel Reyes, 18, of Heavener, Oklahoma was driving a 2006 Kia Sedona eastbound on US-270 near 250th Avuene at around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Woman dead after crash in Clarksville

According to the crash report, Reyes was driving under the influence of alcohol when he hit a 4-year-old pedestrian.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene due to the collision.

Reyes was taken by LeFlore EMS to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

Reyes was arrested Sunday night on DUI and first-degree manslaughter charges by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

No bond has been set for Reyes.
