6-year-old Van Dyne girl flown by medical hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Fond du Lac County

A 6-year-old Van Dyne girl was flown from the scene in a medical helicopter after being struck by a pickup truck Thursday evening, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The child received life-threatening injuries after being hit around 5 p.m. on Townline Road, near Fond du Lac County P west of Van Dyne.

The driver of the truck, a 20-year-old Van Dyne man, was traveling south on Townline Road when the girl was hit. The driver was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
