4-year-old boy found unresponsive at north suburban hotel pool, taken to hospital in serious condition, police say

GLENVIEW, Ill. — A 4-year-old boy was found unresponsive at a north suburban hotel pool Friday night and transported to an area hospital in serious condition, according to Village of Glenview police.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, Glenview police say, officers responded to Renaissance Hotel, 1400 Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview, for a 4-year-old boy who had been found unresponsive in the pool.

According to police, the Glenview Fire Department transported the child to Lutheran General Hospital, where he remains in serious condition, for medical treatment.

Glenview police are investigating the incident and say there are no further details at this time.
