4 displaced after fire breaks out at Buddhist temple in San Jose

(KRON) — Four people were displaced after a fire broke out Monday evening at a Buddhist temple, the San Jose Fire Department said. The temple, Chua Duyen Giac, is located in the 90 block of Foss Avenue.

As of 8 p.m., SJFD reports that the blaze is a three-alarm fire. The department later tweeted that the fire had been knocked down.

No injuries have been reported at this time. SJFD posted a photo of firefighters on the roof responding to the incident (below).

Crews have successfully prevented the fire from damaging nearby structures, SJFD said. The public is asked to avoid the area.
