$346,000 lottery ticket sold in South Carolina. Where did the lucky player buy it?

A South Carolina lottery player hit the jackpot — and now, a life-changing prize is in store.

The lucky person won big in the Palmetto Cash 5 game after buying a ticket that matched all the numbers in the Tuesday, April 2, drawing, the S.C. Education Lottery wrote in a news release.

The winning numbers: 19-28-34-35-37.

Just after 2 p.m. April 3, lottery spokesperson Holli Armstrong told McClatchy News in an email that the winner had come forward to claim the $346,000 prize. The state gives lucky ticket holders about six months to cash in.

The Palmetto Cash 5 player got richer after going to George’s Truck Stop in Kingstree, a roughly 70-mile drive north from Charleston. While there, the person spent $2 on the winning ticket.

It turns out, the lottery player beat 1-in-850,668 odds to score the game’s top prize.
