30 indicted in massive gang, drug trafficking case in Richmond County

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – 30 individuals are facing federal gang and drug trafficking charges in Richmond County after a massive multi-agency investigation across the CSRA.

The 30 suspects are facing 333 charges overall for a variety of alleged crimes including drug trafficking and possession, aggravated assault, and armed robbery. Officials state that the suspects are associated with a street gang known as Trap Money (TRVPMONEYY). The indictment alleges that Trap Money was formed in Richmond County in 2020 by 24-year-old Davion Heath of Grovetown.

The case, known as Operation “No Loyalty”, began in February 2022 and spans more than 8 counties in the state of Georgia.

“As part of Operation “No Loyalty”, our law enforcement partners have recovered more than 60 firearms, and we’ve seized over 16 pounds of fentanyl, which is enough fentanyl to kill 3 and a half million people,” said Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr.

Investigators also recovered 16 kilograms of Cocaine, 278 pounds of Marijuana, 2 pounds of Methamphetamine, nine vehicles, two homes and $492,733.

The operation started when law enforcement began to investigate a rival gang, ‘Loyalty Over Everything,’ after the shooting death of 8-year-old Arbrie Anthony in Augusta in 2022.

“This is entirely unacceptable and it has to stop now. Since creating our gang unit in July 2022, we’ve secured more than 30 convictions and have indicted 135 individuals across the state, and most importantly we’ve secured justice for families who have lost a child, a sibling, a parent or a partner due to gang violence,” said AG Carr.

“The dismantlement of the criminal street gang was successful due to the participation of multiple state, local, and federal law enforcement prosecuting officers, many communities in this area, and across the state of Georgia, are safer because of this operation,” said Richmond County Sheriff Richard Roundtree.

8 alleged members of the ‘Trap Money’ gang are still wanted. If you have any information, contact the authorities.

The 30 suspects are each charged with at least one count of Violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
