3 Tri-Citians hurt when SUV rolls several times near Burbank

Three people were hurt when their car rolled several times on Highway 124 southeast of Pasco, according to a first responders from the crash scene on Friday afternoon.

The car was traveling at a high speed when it left the roadway about six miles east of Burbank, according to initial reports.

Efren Romano Carrasco, 55, of Pasco was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer west when the car went off the right side of the road about 3:15 p.m. Friday, according to the WSP.

He was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland along with two passengers, Wilmar E. Figueroa, 34, of Pasco, and Sandra Vaca Gonzales, 34, of Kennewick. Figueroa was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the WSP.

Carrasco and Gonzales were later released from the hospital. Figueroa remained in satisfactory condition Saturday.

The Ford Explorer was totaled.

Carrasco is facing possible charges of second-degree negligent driving, according to the WSP. Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash, it said.
