3 teens arrested for alleged fight during Cherry Blossom Festival

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — On Saturday police say they arrested three teenagers after a fight broke out during the Wilkes-Barre Cherry Blossom Festival.

Around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Wilkes-Barre City Police stated they were called for a fight happening at Kirby Park.

Once on the scene officers said they separated three teenage girls, ages 13-14 from Edwardsville, Plymouth, and Scranton, who were actively fighting with one another.

Police say they arrested the teens and dispersed the large crowd that gathered during the incident.

All three were cited for disorderly conduct and released into the custody of their parents.
