3 suspects arrested, including possible ex-partner, after man killed outside of his Fair Oaks home

(FOX40.COM) — Three people were recently arrested in connection to a man’s shooting death in the driveway of his home in the community of Fair Oaks last Friday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said that 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head inside his car at his home on Hillridge Way in Fair Oaks around 11 p.m. on May 3.

“Based on [detectives] investigation, deputies learned that Zaytsev was seated inside his vehicle, parked on the driveway of his home,” officials said. “The suspects arrived at the victim’s residence in a separate vehicle moments after Zaytsev’s arrival. One of the suspects then
exited their vehicle and fired three rounds, striking the victim.”

Sacramento County detectives said they were able to identify two suspects who were believed to have planned and carried out the murder and located them in Idaho with the assistance of the Boise FBI and two other Idaho agencies.

Two men, identified as Michael Espinosa and Migues Esquibel, were arrested in Idaho on May 6 for parole violations and will be extradited to Sacramento County, the sheriff’s office said.

Homicide victim found under Tower Bridge identified as Sacramento-area teen

A third suspect, who detectives said is believed to have been in a relationship with the victim, was identified as Jeannette Nunes. According to the sheriff’s office, she was arrested on Thursday in San Jose before being booked in the Sacramento County Jail for murder and conspiracy and is ineligible for bail.

The sheriff’s office added that Nunes will appear in court for the charges on Monday.
