3 people from Chatfield injured in crash on Highway 74

Apr. 25—ELMIRA TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Three people from Chatfield were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, April 24, 2024, east of Chatfield.

A 2012 Toyota Highlander was southbound on Highway 74 when it collided with a 2006 BMW 325 driving northbound at the intersection on 190th Avenue around 8:45 p.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The two drivers and a passenger were transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Highlander was Nancy Marie Mcclellan, 71, of Chatfield.

The driver of the BMW was John Michael Townsend, 20, of Chatfield.

A passenger in the BMW was Alanna Faye Goetzinger, 23, of Chatfield.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Chatfield Police Department, Chatfield Fire Department, Chatfield Ambulance, Mayo One and Gundersen Air also responded to the scene.
