3-year-old found safe after vehicle theft in Wisconsin, police investigating

GLENDALE, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin say they are investigating an incident in which a 3-year-old child was found safe in a vehicle after it had reportedly been stolen Monday night.

According to a release from the Glendale Police Department, officers responded at 8:24 p.m. to the 5600 block of North Port Washington Road for a reported vehicle theft.

Once on the scene, Police say they learned that there was a 3-year-old child in the vehicle at the time it was stolen.

Officers then searched the surrounding area and located the stolen vehicle at 8:44 p.m. on the 1100 block of West Kendall Avenue with the child safely inside.

At this time, no arrests have been made and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
