Parents arrested after fleeing from Pinellas County custody appointment with 3 kids: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Three children who were reported missing Tuesday have been found after their parents took them from a custody appointment on Feb. 28, the Largo Police Department said on Tuesday.

The parents, Natalie and Tyler Spears, were having a mandatory visit at the Department of Children and Families on Ulmerton Road in Largo when police said “information was developed” that would have affected the parent’s ability to retain custody of their children.

The parents fled from the appointment with their three children, police said. The children were found around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Jail records show that Natalie and Tyler Spears were arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail with interference with custody charges.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

No other details were immediately available.
