3 juveniles arrested in connection to October shooting inside Greenfield home

Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with an October shooting inside a Greenfield home that left a 15-year-old hospitalized.

Greenfield police on Monday said officers arrested three 16-year-old boys in the Oct. 7 shooting on North Noble Street.

Police at the time said the 15-year-old was shot once with a handgun inside a home with several minors there. Medics took the teen to an Indianapolis hospital in stable condition.

A 17-year-old was arrested the next day on preliminary gun-related charges, while officials at the time said they expect more criminal charges in the investigation.

One of the three boys arrested Monday in the shooting faces 11 preliminary charges, the most among the three, including armed robbery, possession of a machine gun, carrying a handgun without a license, intimidation, pointing a firearm at another person and theft.

Greenfield police said the department will not release the boys' names.

They are booked in the Hancock County Jail. It was unclear if any of the suspects will be charged as adults
