3 drivers injured in State Road 295 car crash in Escambia County: FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after three drivers were injured when a vehicle crossed the center median on State Road 295, according to a press release from the FHP.

FHP troopers responded today to State Road 295/ Peagler Plaza Road after a 12:57 p.m. crash.

Troopers say that three vehicles were involved in the incident: a green Chevrolet SUV, a maroon Buick SUV, and a black Honda SUV.

Investigations indicate that the crash occurred when a green Chevrolet SUV traveling west in the left lane of State Road 295 (West Fairfield Drive) crossed the grass median and entered eastbound traffic.

Upon entering the eastbound traffic, the Chevrolet collided with a maroon Buick SUV traveling east in the left lane of State Road 295 before crashing with a black Honda SUV in the right lane, overturning on its side and blocking both eastbound lanes.

The driver of the green Chevrolet, a 42-year-old man from Pensacola, and the driver of the black Honda SUV, a 43-year-old man from Demopolis, Ala., were left with serious injuries as a result of the crash.

The driver of the maroon Buick SUV, a 25-year-old man from Pensacola, sustained minor injuries, according to the report.
