This worries me, at the very start of this covid mess, my son became extremely ill, we took him to the ER and they tested him for strept, flu, and covid.. Five days later they contacted us to give us the results that he was negative for everything, but had tested positive for HIB, an illness that he was vaccinated against when he was young! HIB immunization is given up till 5yrs of age, my son is almost 16.. They started him on antibiotics and steroids & we battled it for 3 more weeks.. The Hospital told us the CDC and our local Health Dept would be in touch, they haven’t and he still doesn’t feel the same, after 3 months.. We still have no answers and not one doc has told us why he hasn’t fully recovered!
I’m sure doctors aren’t making this up these are our children. I will volunteer for any vaccine if it means keeping our children safe. I’m 64 and lived a pretty good life so yes I do anything to protect my grand babies. Pray that things don’t get worse we are living in some of the worse times I’ve ever seen. Scientists have always fear either a new bug or a nuclear disaster.

When the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects a body, it seems from all the reports I've read, to cause the body's immune system to grossly overreact, unleashing what is referred to as a "cytokine storm," and that overreaction by the immune system is what overwhelms the body and kills the patient.
So an obvious logical thought is: "How can we control and 'calm down' the human immune system when it is reacting to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and, thus, perhaps save the patient?"
There have been two recent cases - one in the Seattle, WA area and another in the Phoenix, AZ area - in which the patients were in the advanced stages of COVID-19, and in which the use of a drug called Actemra (anti-inflammatory) and the use of ECMO equipment literally saved the two patients and brought them back to full recovery! ECMO is quite specialized equipment which works by helping oxygenate blood outside the body so blood doesn't need to transfer through damaged or filled lungs. Instead, tubes carry blood from the body to an external artificial lung that removes carbon dioxide and adds oxygen, at which point an artificial heart pumps the blood back into the body.
In order for any treatment to have any chance of saving a patient, it seems logical that doctors must first "calm down" the grossly overreacting human immune system. Only then can any other medications or treatments have any hope of progressively fighting COVID-19 and give the patient even a chance to recover.
Could some variation of this NOT be a likely answer to treating COVID-19 patients?
Perhaps a thought worth seriously exploring?
All of these symptoms can be present with Kawasaki Disease which was identified over 50 years ago and the cause is still unknown. Supposedly it is not contagious and treatable. So what is happening in NYC? Last week an article was published stating there were 230 cases in Europe and 2 deaths. NY had 100 cases. Some of these cases in Europe and the US test negative for COVID-19. So what is going on? If it is centered in NY what are the environmental factors? I am definitely not into conspiracy theories but I am beginning to wonder if these new illnesses are from international travel and international immigration. I know before I retired from healthcare we were seeing an increase in TB cases brought in by immigrants who hadn't been medically screened. There is a reason legal immigrants entering the US in the past had to be medically cleared and not allowed to enter if ill.
When I was a kid, I played in swamps, ate dirt and dandelions, took advantage of the sun, and suffered breaks, cuts, and bruises to my body. My friends and siblings did the same. Not one of us had a peanut allergy, baffling virus syndrome, or any other malady. Not a coincidence.
“ Another doctor spoke of troubling heart ailments in children afflicted with the illness. A third talked about treating a 14-year-old in the Bronx who was admitted in good condition but then rapidly deteriorated.
“Twenty-four hours later, he was aggressively delirious and had to be restrained and sedated,” that doctor, H. Michael Ushay, recalled.”
If the child was in good condition, why was he admitted?
"believed to be caused by a reaction to the coronavirus."......."Many, though not all, of the children ill with the syndrome tested positive for the coronavirus or for antibodies to it, which indicate a prior exposure."......"But Lee, of the city’s Health Department, said it was too soon to know if the number of cases was slowing or still surging."....... Bottom line......they don't have a scientific clue as to what they are talking about.....they hypothesize a lot.....but they don't have anything scientific.....
Dear God please help us! We need you and the children need you! We need your divine intervention please Lord.
Please give healthcare professionals and scientists the wisdom to create a drug for early intervention treatment to help us all. In Jesus Christ name I pray.
while they strive to save these children, how many children still die from complications from strep? something that is not pulbizied but happens yearly. still strep is the most common ailment that kids come in contact with yearly and in many cases goes completely untreated. even treated cases can appear to be cured till it is too late to repair the damage done to organs usually not affected in most kids.
It's only been 5-3/4 months since this plague began (officially), and based upon historical information regarding ANY before unseen virus, it takes time....there will be casualties, and IF anything conclusive is found (vaccine, etc), then there will be plenty of finger-pointing and Congressional Hearings. In the meantime...I'm burned out on all this constant if, maybe, perhaps, stuff everyday, so I'm going to take a break and check back next December. My brain's ability to absorb it all now is failing spectacularly. May God bless us all as the clock moves on...
After 6,000 die in NY nursing homes - Cuomo finally stops sending Covid patients to recover in nursing homes
Dont Have Kids You Cant Afford
It’s not immunizations, it’s the culture now. Remember when we used to play outside and were probably full of germs constantly? Well generally, kids aren’t today. With hand sanitizer and kids hardly playing outdoors anymore, of course sickness goes up. Kids are reaching adulthood and have half the immunity to natural things like we used to.
