3 arrested after Livingston shooting, police say

LIVINGSTON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Three people have been arrested for a shooting that appeared to be related to criminal street gang activity, the Livingston Police Department said.

Police say on Sunday at around 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of shots being fired in the area of Sycamore Street and Elm Street. Officers located a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

According to police, it was determined that the incident occurred outside a residence on Sycamore Street.

After obtaining a search warrant, Livingston police officers say they along with deputies of the Merced County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search of the house where the suspects all surrendered peacefully.

Police say the suspects were booked under suspicion of multiple charges. The shooting appears to be related to criminal street gang activity.

According to police, the victim is recovering at a local hospital and is in stable condition.
