3 acres involved in large Northwest DC brush fire

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Fire and EMS said about 50 first responders headed to the scene of a large brush fire in Northwest D.C. Wednesday night.

The fire, which was reported around 7 p.m., was in the area of 18 St. and Colorado Ave. near Rock Creek Park and the Carter Barron amphitheater. DC Fire and EMS said about three acres were involved in the fire.

No injuries were reported and none of the structures were threatened by the fire.

Crews were not sure about how the fire started.
