2nd person charged in fatal shooting of Ambridge teenager
A second person is facing charges in the shooting death of an Ambridge teenager last summer.

In July 2023, police said witnesses saw two older boys following Asuan Moreland, 15, through Ambridge before they heard gunshots.

Court documents revealed that Moreland was shot several times, and killed “execution style” on a Sunday evening in the middle of the road. At the time, police identified Nasean Hunt as the shooter but said they were actively looking for the second gunman.

Now, almost a year later, police have filed charges against Nyeheame Kirksey, 17.
Moreland’s family expressed some sort of relief knowing that both suspects have now been identified, but they want Kirksey behind bars and for both to serve life in prison.
Hunt remains in the Beaver County Jail, but police are still actively looking for Kirksey, who has not been arrested.
