2nd Kern County man pleads guilty to distributing explosives: DOJ

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A second Kern County man entered a guilty plea after allegedly selling explosives stolen from a Lake Isabella facility.

Federal prosecutors with the U.S. Department of Justice said Michael Roy Anglin, pleaded guilty Wednesday to distributing explosives to a non-licensed person.

Anglin and another man, Roy Vigneault, of Lake Isabella, sold and delivered several boxes of stolen Hydromite 880, a powerful explosive containing ammonium nitrate, according to federal prosecutors. The explosives were stolen from Austin Powder West LLC in Lake Isabella in May 2023, officials said.

Vigneault, pleaded guilty to charges in the case in February.

Anglin is scheduled to be sentenced in July and faces a maximum 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine.
