$25 'Golden Girls' action figures sell out quickly, land on eBay with huge markup

Step aside, Justice League. There's a new super team taking New York Comic Con by storm: "The Golden Girls."

Action figures of Rose, Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia from the hit sitcom from the 1980s and '90s flew off shelves at the Funko booth on Friday and Saturday, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Washington-based toy company created the box set of Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty exclusively for Comic Con.

"I don't think we were prepared for how excited people would be," Mark Robben, the company's director of marketing, told the Journal, "We wanted them to be limited, but we didn't know they would go that quickly in the morning."

The box set, which sold for $25, are being offered on eBay for as much as $350.

Comic Con fans weren't the only ones eager to snatch up a set of the "Golden Girls" figures. According to the Journal, a few thousand sets were distributed to Target and sold out in less than 24 hours.
