21-person Milford lottery club wins $1 million playing Mega Millions
A 21-person lottery club in Milford recently won a $1 million Mega Millions prize, according to the Michigan Lottery
The winning Lunchroom Ladies group is made up of coworkers who have been playing the lottery together for a while.
Their Mega Millions ticket matched the five white balls drawn Jan. 16 — 2, 10, 42, 49 and 54.
"I checked the ticket at a store and when I found out we’d won $1 million, I was in complete shock!" one of the members told the Michigan Lottery. "I called all the club members and told them we won big, but a lot of them had a hard time believing me at first."
The winning ticket was purchased at the BP gas station located at 19995 W. 9 Mile Road in Southfield.

The club recently claimed its prize.
"Everyone in our club agrees that winning feels like a dream and it still hasn’t fully sink in for anyone yet," the club’s representative, Marc Swoish, told the Michigan Lottery.
