21-year-old man dead after shooting in Lamont

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is dead after he was shot late Tuesday night in Lamont.

On April 23, Xavier Buenrostro, a 21-year-old from Lamont, was shot and killed in the 7900 block of Buena Vista Boulevard, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office. Deputies received reports of a shooting victim around 11:15 p.m. Buenrostro was pronounced dead on scene.

Verdicts reached in Ridgecrest murder trial

A postmortem examination will be conducted to determine his cause and manner of death.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
