2024 Spring Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at the Historic Black Knight Ballroom

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The Historic Black Knight Ballroom will be hosting an event sponsored by the Beckley Police Department Alumni Association filled with mystery, drama, and surprises.

Concord University hosted 2nd annual Women’s Empowerment Conference

The 2024 Spring Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre will be having its performance on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. It will be at the Historic Black Knight Ballroom located at 2400 S Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV 25801.

A buffet will also be served at the event, with buffet dinner seating starting at 6:00 P.M. The performance will begin at 7:00 P.M. Tickets are $60 per person. The audience will also get to guess who committed the murder, and the lucky person who guesses correctly will win a prize. Other door prizes will be available as well.

Tim Berry, President of the Beckley Police Department Alumni Association expressed how this event is not only opened to the community, but beneficial to the community as well.

“This is the sixth year that we’ve actually, we’ve actually sponsored this and the funds the, the net proceeds go to fund our widows projects and at different events that we have you know for the retired and former Beckley Police Officers and families during the course of year,” said Berry.

A quick background of the show:

Titled, “Belles, Bourbon & Belladonna!,” the Castle Family has been distilling bourbon in Kentucky since 1878. The Owner, Woodson Everett Castle Jr., is dying of cancer. He has three daughters and a son. He does not want to leave the business to his daughters, but he is also worried about  his worthless son who is more interested in chasing booze, women, horse, and cards. So he has he has made an ultimatum to his son; straighten up and get married in the next 90 days and the distillery will be his. Now the son has brought home a fiancée and there are many who are unhappy about this turn of events!
