Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its newest car at the Geneva Motor Show today, the 2019 Huracan Performante Spyder. It's a trop-top version of the Huracan Performante, the track-ready mid-engine V10 supercar that set a blistering 6:52 lap time at the Nurburgring.

Not much has changed from the Huracan Performante during its transformation from coupe to convertible, aside from the lack of a roof, of course. The Performante Spyder gets the same wild ALA active aero system, the same 640-horsepower 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10, and the same seven-speed dual clutch transmission, sending power to all four wheels.

As for performance, the Performante Spyder clocks 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds (versus the coupe's 2.9 seconds) and a top speed of 202 mph, matching that of the hardtop version. Dry weight comes in at 3322 pounds, adding a full 272 pounds over the coupe. Lamborghini notes this weight is still 77 pounds lighter than the normal Huracan Spyder thanks to the use of carbon fiber. Weight distribution is 43 percent front, 57 percent rear.

The power soft top can be raised or lowered in just 17 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph. Like in the regular Huracan Spyder, there's a separate rear window that can be raised or lowered at the driver's command.

Pricing for the 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Peformante Spyder starts at $308,859 plus applicable taxes.
