2019 best places to work revealed in new Glassdoor ranking

Glassdoor, a job search and company review website, released its annual 'Best Places to Work' list this week, and there have been a few shake-ups -- most notably at the top spot.

After being ranked at No. 1 on the 2018 list, Facebook tumbled down this year's ranking to No. 7 after a tumultuous year.

"As most people know, Facebook has had a tough year, so it’s not surprising to see the tech giant fall from the number one spot to number seven this year," Glassdoor spokesperson Sarah Stoddard told Yahoo Finance.

Retaking the crown from the social media giant is Bain & Company. The Boston-based consulting firm is no stranger to coming in first -- it is Bain & Company's fourth time coming in at No. 1 (2012, 2014, 2017, 2019).

The annual list is based on reviews and feedback that employees have shared on Glassdoor over the past year. Employers with at least 75 ratings across the eight workplace attributes and who employ at least 1,000 workers are eligible for the list.
