2018 PyeongChang Olympics Daily Viewer's Guide - Day 6 (Feb. 12)

What’s on tap for today:

*All times are Eastern Time*

8:10 a.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Biathlon, Luge – Germany’s Laura Dahlmeier tries to add to expand her trophy case competing in the women’s 10km pursuit after grabbing gold in the 7.5km sprint on Saturday. In the luge world, Opening Ceremony flag-bearer Erin Hamlin will begin her chase for the second-ever U.S. medal in women’s luge with the first run of women’s singles.

10:10 a.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Women’s Hockey – The unified Korean hockey team faces what might be its stiffest test of the tournament in a Sweden team that is ranked in the top five of the world. Hopefully, they can show a little more potential than they did in their 8-0 loss to Switzerland to open the tournament.

12:30 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Luge – Erin Hamlin’s bid for another medal continues as the second women’s singles run starts up. Who will slide down the ice the fastest?

1 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Freestyle Skiing – Canada’s Mikael Kingsbury is the most dominant moguls skier in the world and will try to add the first gold medal of his career in the men’s moguls finals. Brad Wilson is likely the American to watch here, but Kingsbury is the overwhelming favorite for a reason.

2 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Ski Jumping – Women’s ski jumping made its debut at Sochi four years ago and it returns here, with Germany’s Carina Vogt defending her inaugural gold medal against names like Norway’s Maren Lundby and Japan’s Sara Takanashi.

3:15 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Biathlon – We get even more skiing and shooting as the men compete in the 12.5km pursuit. American Lowell Bailey could have a shot at a historic medal given that he won a World Championship last year, but that was in the 20km individual. If you’re looking for a favorite, France’s Martin Fourcade is considered the best biathlete in the world.

4:30 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Speed Skating – The less said about the United States’ speed skating performance in Sochi, the better, but Heather Bergsma and Brittany Bowe will both carry some redemption potential in the women’s 1,500m event. They’ll be competing with a loaded Dutch team that is coming off a podium sweep in the 3,000m.

6 p.m. ET NBC Live:

– Freestyle Skiing, Ski Jumping, Luge – Catch the highlights of the men’s moguls, women’s ski jumping and women’s luge in a round-up of the day’s best Winter Olympics action

8 p.m. ET NBCSN & NBC Streaming:

– Women’s Hockey – Which game we’re getting is still TBA, so keep an eye out later.

8 p.m. ET CNBC:

– Curling – Switzerland and the Olympic Athletes from Russia meet again in the semifinals after playing each other in one of the best matches of the qualifying rounds, where Switzerland notched a 9-8 comeback win. The winner will meet Canada in the finals. This match will also be shown at 11 p.m. on NBCSN.

11 p.m. ET NBC Live:

– Snowboarding, Alpine, Speed Skating – Chloe Kim could be one of the breakout stars of the PyeongChang Olympics and she gets her shot on Monday night in the halfpipe finals. The 17-year-old blew away the competition in the qualifying rounds. Another American to keep an eye on is five-time Olympian Kelly Clark, who won a halfpipe gold medal all the way back in 2002 at Salt Lake City.

You can also catch the first leg of the men’s super combined alpine skiing event, where Austria’s Marcel Hirscher, the top male skier in the world, will chase his first Olympic gold medal.
