Jaguar 2017 Model Overview

The 2017 model year is a big one for Jaguar. Intent on significantly increasing its market share, the company introduced a new entry-level luxury sport sedan called the XE and its first SUV, the F-Pace. Additionally, those two models and the XF midsize sedan are offered with a new turbodiesel 4-cylinder engine. The F-Type sports car is available in a new, more powerful SVR variant for 2017.

2017 Jaguar F-Pace

  • New 5-passenger, midsize luxury performance SUV

  • 20d, 35t, and S model series

  • Standard, Premium, Prestige, and R-Sport trim levels for 20d and 35t models

  • Turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine in 20d model

  • Supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine in 35t and S models

  • Standard 8-speed automatic transmission, torque-vectoring all-wheel drive (AWD), adaptive damping suspension, configurable driving dynamics, all-terrain traction control system

  • Wheels range from 18-22 ins. in diameter, maximum of 8.4 ins. of ground clearance

  • 33.5 cu. ft. of cargo space behind 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat; maximum space is 63.5 cu. ft.

  • Optional InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.2-in. display and Wi-Fi connection, 12.3-in. digital instrumentation and laser head-up display, 4-zone climate control system, 14-way power front seats with heating and cooling

  • Offered with a full slate of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies


2017 Jaguar F-Type

  • Reduced prices for base versions of the coupe and convertible

  • British Design Edition based on F-Type S includes Sport Design Pack, super performance braking system, active sports exhaust system, torque-vectoring limited-slip rear differential, 20-in. dark gray wheels, premium black leather with contrast color stitching, 14-way power front seats, unique badging

  • New F-Type SVR high-performance coupe model debuts with more powerful supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8 engine, reworked suspension, revised transmission and AWD tuning, titanium and Inconel exhaust system, carbon ceramic brakes, and forged-aluminum 20-in. wheels

  • SVR accelerates to 60 mph in a claimed 3.5 seconds, top speed of 200 mph thanks to exterior aerodynamics styling package


2017 Jaguar XE

  • New, entry-level luxury sports sedan

  • 20d, 25t, and 35t model series

  • Standard, Premium, Prestige, and R-Sport trim levels

  • Turbocharged, 2.0-liter diesel 4-cylinder in the 20d

  • Turbocharged, 2.0-liter gasoline 4-cylinder in the 25t

  • Supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine in the 35t

  • 8-speed automatic transmission

  • Rear-wheel (RWD) or AWD with rear-drive power delivery bias

  • Configurable driving modes, advanced traction and stability control system, full range of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies

  • Available InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.2-in. display screen, InControl subscription services, Wi-Fi connection, and Apple Watch app

  • Optional 17-speaker Meridian premium audio system, head-up display, semi-autonomous park assist, surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control


2017 Jaguar XF

  • New 2.0-liter, turbodiesel 4-cylinder engine is available with RWD or AWD


2017 Jaguar XJ

  • No changes aside from wheel designs and paint color choices
