New 2017 Infiniti Q60 coupe priced at $39,855

Infiniti will offer its new Q60 sporty compact coupe in a variety of flavors, beginning at $39,855. That's a hefty $2,000 lower than last year, despite a full redesign for 2017.

The 2017 Q60 is the latest in a line of Infiniti coupes dating back to the original G35 more than a decade ago. Rechristened the Q60 as part of Infiniti's broad renaming scheme, the new model will be offered in a host of trim and powertrain combinations. That $39,855 base price, which, incidentally, includes a mandatory $905 destination and delivery charge, nets buyers a rear wheel-drive 2.0t. From there, here's how the walk looks:

  • $39,855 for the 2.0t

  • $41,885 for the 2.0t all wheel-drive

  • $42,205 for the 2.0t Premium

  • $44,205 for the 2.0t Premium all wheel-drive

  • $45,205 for the 3.0t Premium

  • $47,205 for the 3.0t Premium all wheel-drive

A 400 horsepower version of the 3.0t called Q60 Red Sport 400 will go on sale later. Its price has not yet been announced.

Those base prices compare favorably with the Q60's biggest rivals, including the BMW 430i ($42,895) and Audi A5 ($41,200). However, the Cadillac ATS coupe stickers for a more palatable $38,990 before any options are added.

That's not to say that the Q60 won't come well-equipped. Even the base model includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, 8-way power front seats, and a backup camera.
