A 20-year-old in Florida just won $450 million jackpot. Hoo boy!
According to the Florida Lottery, Shane Missler, of Port Richey, Florida, won the January 5 Mega Millions $450 million jackpot, taking home a one-time lump sum of $281,874,999.
The winning numbers of 28, 30, 39, 59, and 70, as well as the Mega Ball number, 10, to become the sole winner.
When asked what he plans to do with the money, Missler said, "I'm only 20, but I hope to use it to pursue a variety of passions, help my family and do some good for humanity." A believer in the power of a positive mindset, Shane wasn't really surprised that he had won. He said he just had "a feeling" that he might. After realizing he had won, the first call he made was to his brother. Then, he shared the news with his father over coffee the next morning.
Although fake social media profiles for the new multi-millionaire are popping up, Missler has been keeping friends and family members abreast of his journey on his Facebook page:
Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am truly grateful and appreciative! Unfortunately fake social media accounts...Posted by Shane Missler on Friday, January 12, 2018
Congrats! Also, can I have a car!? JK, don't spend that money, Missler! Get an accountant and a lawyer and avoid the curse of the lottery at all costs!
