2 women, teen accused in Altgeld Gardens stabbing

CHICAGO — Two women and a teen girl were taken into custody over the weekend in connection with a stabbing that unfolded on the Far South Side.

Chicago police say 40-year-old Tina Davis, 18-year-old Deasia Davis, and a 17-year-old girl who was not identified due to her age, have each been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and one felony count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Officers say the charges stem from an alleged stabbing that left a 17-year-old girl and a 41-year-old woman injured.

According to police, the incident unfolded just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, in Altgeld Gardens, a CHA housing project in the city’s Riverdale neighborhood.

Authorities say the three allegedly participated in the stabbing but did not provide details on what led up to the incident.

All three were eventually taken into custody on Saturday in the 700 block of East 111th Street.

Tina Davis and Deasia Davis both appeared in court for a detention hearing on Monday, but it is unclear when the teen will make a court appearance.
