2 women arrested for mail theft in Riverstone, Clovis, deputies say

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two Fresno women have been arrested following a mail theft investigation involving two communities from Madera and Fresno counties respectively, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday.

According to deputies, there have been five incidents involving mail theft from the Riverstone community in Madera County since February.

During their ongoing investigation, deputies identified two suspects who sheriff’s officials say are also suspected of committing mail theft in the City of Clovis.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office POP Team worked in conjunction with the Clovis Police Department and said they were able to locate and arrest 41-year-old Yer Vue and 35-year-old Amanda Lizarraga, both of Fresno.

During a search of their vehicle, sheriff’s officials say multiple shaved keys and large amounts of mail not addressed to them were recovered.

Deputies say the women were booked in the Fresno County Jail under suspicion of multiple felonies. The Madera County Sheriff’s Office will be recommending the Madera County District Attorney’s Office to file charges on Vue and Lizarraga in relation to the mail thefts that occurred in Madera County.
