2 teens shot at Mississippi apartment complex

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 14-year-old and 16-year-old were shot in Tunica, Mississippi Thursday night.

At around 8:45 p.m., deputies received a call stating that two individuals had been shot outside Cottonland Village Apartments at 1655 Beatline Road.

A woman on the scene reportedly told officers that it was her two children that had been shot.

One of the teens was identified as a 16-year-old boy who was transported by helicopter to Regional One in Memphis. The other teen was identified as a 14-year-old boy who was also transported to Regional One.

According to TCSO, both boys are expected to survive.
