2 suspects arrested for Charlotte armed robbery, police

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Police have made two arrests for an armed robbery that took place on Feb. 17 at a Shell gas station in Charlotte.

Two men walked into a Shell gas station at 3:37 a.m. Saturday and demanded money at knifepoint, the Charlotte Police Department said in a social media post.

Two suspects have been arrested and charged with:

Timothy Jose Williams, 62-year-old, from Lansing, has been arrested and charged with 1 count of armed robbery. He was arraigned on this charge on 03-04-24 and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Vernorn Deon Ray 42 years old, from Lansing, has been arrested and charged with 1 count of armed robbery. He was arraigned on this charge on 03-11-24 and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Ray has also been arraigned on one count of armed robbery associated with the February 22nd, 2024, robbery at the Grand Ledge Shell.

CPD officers were assisted by the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Ledge Police Department, Lansing Police Department, and the Michigan State Police.
