The preliminary investigation reveals two men, identified as 26-year-old Juan Charco and his brother, were in a black Ford F-150 pickup truck towing a Chrysler 200 and stopped at the gas station as their truck was having mechanical issues. Two other men then pulled up in a silver Mercedes while Charco and his brother were removing the Chrysler from a trailer.

Police said both sides then got into an argument, resulting in shots being fired. One of the victims, a 23-year-old man, died from his injuries.

After the shots were fired, Charco and his brother got into a fight with the man who had been shot in the arm. The man shot in the arm then ran inside the business. He is currently in the hospital in stable condition, according to investigators.

Charco and his brother were detained and taken to police headquarters for questioning.

After further questioning, Charco was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, while his brother was interviewed and released.

Additional charges could be pending.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
