2 people rescued from water in Buffalo early Thursday morning

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people found clinging to Gallagher Pier in Buffalo were rescued from the water early Thursday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., officials said two people had apparently jumped into the water. Buffalo police and fire officials, as well as members of the U.S. Coast Guard, responded to the scene off Fuhrmann Boulevard.

First responders were able to get them out with the help of life slings, pulling them to safety.
