2 people hospitalized after early morning shooting in CLT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are in the hospital with gunshot wounds after an early morning shooting in Charlotte, according to MEDIC.

Crews responded to the 1300 block of Downs Avenue due to reports of a shooting.

Once on scene, medics located two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officials say one person was shot in the leg and another in the stomach.

The victims were transported to the Atrium Medical Center.

No word yet on their conditions or if they have anyone in custody.
