2 people found dead in Champaign County home; Sheriff’s Office, Ohio BCI investigating
An investigation has been launched in Champaign County after two men were found dead in a home Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 10 a.m., the Champaign County 911 Center received a call from the property owner of a home in the 7300 block of E. State Route 29 who said that she had just entered the home and discovered that two males were possibly deceased under “suspicious circumstances,” according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon deputies’ arrival, the sheriff’s office said they immediately entered the home and located two men deceased.

As reported on News Center 7 at 6:00, the cause or manner of death of the two males was not initially released, but investigators confirmed their deaths are considered suspicious.
The sheriff’s office told News Center 7 that there was no evidence of a break in and it appears there was a dispute between the two men inside.
Weapons were also located in the home.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called to assist in the investigation, a spokesperson for BCI confirmed.
The names of the two men have not been released at this time.
“It is not believed that there is any danger posed to the community regarding this incident,” the sheriff’s office said.
