Woman, man found shot to death at park-and-ride in Muddy Creek Township identified

State police have identified the woman and man found shot to death at a park-and-ride in Muddy Creek Township Monday.

Jenna Christine Smith, 28, and Jacob Christian Smith, 31, of Pulanski, were found around 5:30 p.m. Monday along Perry Highway.

Jenna Smith was found beside a vehicle by state police while Jacob Smith was found in the passenger side of the vehicle.

First responders performed CPR but they were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined the couple, who was married, exchanged gunfire in the vehicle after an altercation, according to state police.

Route 19 was closed for the investigation for about five hours.

State police said this is an isolated incident with no public safety concern.
