2 more gusty, dusty afternoons; beautiful Mother’s Day — Your 9-Day Forecast

I captured this image of beautiful Palo Verde trees Sunday. They look fantastic, smell great, and blanket the ground with tiny yellow flowers. Today, with the gusty winds, all the little flowers have likely blown away.

TONIGHT:  The winds will become strong and gusty in the afternoon, producing a dusty haze.  The west-NW winds will range from 15-50 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes.  Overnight, the winds will slowly die down under clear skies, and the low will drop to 59.

FORECAST:  Tuesday will start out sunny with light winds, but the gusty winds will return in the afternoon.  The SW winds will pick up and gust to near 45 mph, producing a slight dusty haze.  Tuesday’s high will be 91, and the skies will be sunny excluding the afternoon dust.  Wednesday will be sunny with gusty winds and a slight dusty haze by afternoon.  Wednesday’s winds will peak near 45 mph, and the high will be 90.  Thursday will be sunny and windy (no dust).  Thursday’s high: 88.  Friday is Mothers’ Day in Mexico, and it will be a beautiful day with partly cloudy skies, light winds, and a high of 85.  Saturday will be sunny and windy (no dust) with a high of 89.  Mothers’ Day will be sunny and 86 with a breezy afternoon.
