2 Mobile men accused of assault, stealing gun at convenience store: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two local men were arrested Saturday after they allegedly assaulted a person and stole their gun at a local convenience store, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD release said officers were called to Eddie’s Mart around 7 p.m. Saturday for a report of a robbery.

ROBBERY LOCATION:

Officers found that a victim had been assaulted by a man while they were walking into the store, according to the release. The victim then allegedly pulled out his gun in self-defense.

Authorities release arrest numbers for Hangout Fest 2024

The release said another man then took the gun from the victim during “a brief struggle.” The two men then left the store.

Mobile Police officers arrested 20-year-old Kaleb Kristopher M. Hunter and 44-year-old Omar Sharree White, both of Mobile, in connection with the incident.

Both were charged with first-degree robbery.
