2 men whacked stranger with bat on Queens street: NYPD

JAMAICA ESTATES, Queens (PIX11) — Two men whacked a stranger in the head with a bat while he was walking home on a Queens street last weekend, police said.

The suspects attacked the 22-year-old man near 189th Street and Aberdeen Road in Jamaica Estates at around 7:05 p.m. on April 13, according to the NYPD. The victim was hit in the head and face before the thieves took his cellphone and escaped in a Pontiac Grand Am, police said.

The men were caught on surveillance video hopping into the black car and taking off on 109th Street towards Union Turnpike, authorities said. There have been no arrests.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
