2 men steal money, lottery tickets from UES newsstand, employee hospitalized: NYPD

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) — A newsstand employee was injured when the Upper East Side stand was robbed for money and lottery tickets on Tuesday, according to police.

Two men walked up to the newsstand on East 79th Street and First Avenue and pushed the employee, according to the NYPD. The men allegedly stole money and lottery tickets around 2:30 p.m. before escaping.

The employee was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries, according to officials. The investigation is ongoing.

No arrests had been made. Police did not provide descriptions of the suspects
