2 men left critical following 2 separate shootings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that left two people critically injured Friday evening at a Midtown car wash and a home in the Hickory Hill area.

According to Memphis Police, the first shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 3900 Block of Lacewood Drive.

Officers say when they arrived at the scene a male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Two dead in Westwood double shooting

MPD says they responded to the second shooting just before 5:30 p.m. at a car wash located at 29 North Avalon Street.

A man was found shot at the scene, police say. He was then taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

No arrests have been reported at this time. This is still an ongoing investigation.
